WATT, Kam Sing Michael

Michael Watt was a breaststroker in the HK swimming team.  During his years of international competitive swimming, Michael was coached by Mr. David Haller.  Under his guidance, Michael was able to improve on his technical skills and endurance, resulting in substantial improvements in his times in the pool. substantially under his coaching.

In his early years prior to joining the HK National team, Michael was coached by Fu Tai Chun who developed this young talent and nurtured his interest in this sport, building him up to a Division I level swimmer.

Michael believes that competitive swimming was one of the best commitments he ever made. Not only did training keep him at the peak of fitness but also allowed him to meet new people, travel, compete and build on life skills. Something to be proud of.

During those years of juggling training as a competitive swimming and attending schools, it was not easy, yet Michael feels reflects that one can learn so much that carries forwards to helping you and preparing you for life outside of the pool. For example, attributes such as being goal oriented, self-disciplined, ability to plan, persistence to follow through, and the will to strive for continuous improvement are all great life skills.

After retiring from competitive swimming, Michael went on to pursue his graduate studies in the US which put him on a path to become a certified public accountant and continues to swim recreationally for fitness.
