YU, Kau Wai

Yu Kau Wai was born in Hong Kong and grew up in the Wanchai District of Hong Kong Island. When he was young, he went to Victoria Park with a group of classmates to watch the cycling race. After the competition, he became interested in cycling and began to train by himself.  Then he joined the Hong Kong Cycling Federation in 1979 and began to participate in local competitions then started his cycling career, and in 1983 he starts to represent Hong Kong in the major Games.

余裘偉出生於香港，成長於港島灣仔區。 小時候，他和一群同學去維多利亞公園看觀看單車繞圈賽。 比賽結束後，他對自行車產生了興趣，之後開始自己訓練。 其後於1979年加入香港單車總會，開始參加本地比賽，展開單車生涯，並於1983年開始代表香港參加各大運動會。
